Find answers to common questions about Credit Main
Credit Main is a digital credit management platform that gives you the tools to take control of your credit profile on your own terms. Through our software, you can upload your credit reports, select which negative items you’d like to dispute, and generate professionally formatted dispute letters that we mail on your behalf—no printing, signing, or post office trips required.
Our secure portal includes features like progress tracking, multi-bureau dispute management, and flexible mailing options—all designed to simplify the credit dispute process and give you full control over what actions to take.
We believe everyone—not just professionals—should have access to the tools needed to manage their credit. That’s why we focus on automation, simplicity, and empowerment.
Credit Main is not a credit repair organization and does not provide legal advice, analyze your credit reports for you, or tell you what to dispute. We provide general-purpose credit management software to help you take action independently, in accordance with your rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).
Credit repair refers to the process of identifying and disputing inaccurate, outdated, or unverifiable information on a credit report in order to improve your overall credit standing. This may include addressing errors such as late payments that were actually paid on time, accounts that don’t belong to you, or incorrect personal information.
It’s important to understand that credit repair can be done by anyone, and you have the legal right to dispute incorrect credit information yourself. While some companies offer to perform credit repair services on behalf of consumers, Credit Main is not a credit repair organization as defined by federal or state law.
Instead, we provide credit management software that gives you the tools to manage your own credit data—such as generating and mailing dispute letters—based solely on your own decisions. We do not offer legal advice, review your credit report on your behalf, or determine which items you should or should not dispute.
Signs you may want to review and manage your credit include:
A sudden drop in your credit score
Being denied for loans, credit cards, or leases
Seeing incorrect information on your report
Receiving bills or debt notices for accounts you don’t recognize
Even if your credit appears fine, it’s still a good idea to check your reports regularly for errors or fraud. Credit Main gives you the tools to take proactive steps—on your own—to correct inaccuracies, stay organized, and track updates.
Disputing credit report errors involves three main steps:
Pulling your credit reports from Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion
Identifying items you believe are inaccurate, outdated, or unverifiable
Sending formal dispute letters to the appropriate credit bureau(s)
With Credit Main, you upload your report, choose what you want to dispute, and generate letters using our system. We’ll mail the letters for you—standard or upgraded delivery depending on your plan. You can then track the status of your disputes directly from your dashboard. It’s a streamlined, user-directed experience.
With Credit Main, you can generate and send dispute letters for items on your credit report that you believe are inaccurate, outdated, duplicated, or unverifiable. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), you have the right to dispute any information that may not be accurate—and the credit bureaus must verify that each item is valid, or remove it.
Common types of potentially disputable or unverifiable negative items include:
Incorrect personal information (e.g., wrong names or birth dates)
Outdated or incorrect addresses
Duplicate or merged accounts
Late payments reported in error
Charge-offs that have been paid or settled
Collections that don’t belong to you
Inquiries you didn’t authorize (especially hard inquiries)
Bankruptcies not associated with you
Repossessions or foreclosures inaccurately reported
Judgments, liens, or public records that have been dismissed or resolved
Accounts listed as open when they’re actually closed (or vice versa)
It’s important to remember: only inaccurate, outdated, or unverifiable information can be removed. If an item is negative but correct and verified by the bureau, it will remain on your report until it naturally expires (usually after 7 to 10 years).
Credit Main gives you the tools to take action by selecting these items and generating dispute letters—but you are in control of what to challenge, and the final outcome is determined by the credit bureaus.
Very little. Credit Main is designed to take nearly all of the manual effort out of the credit dispute process. Your main responsibility is simply to upload your credit report, select the items you’d like to dispute, and provide any basic supporting documents if needed. That’s it.
Our platform handles the formatting, generates your dispute letters automatically, and takes care of mailing them to the appropriate credit bureaus. You’ll be able to track everything in your dashboard—no printing, no mailing, and no guesswork required.
The three major credit reporting agencies in the U.S. are:
Equifax
Experian
TransUnion
Each maintains separate credit data and reports, which is why it’s important to review all three. A dispute that’s resolved on one bureau’s report may still appear on another unless addressed individually.
We offer three subscription plans to fit your credit management needs:
Select Plan: $29/month + $29 startup fee — for basic dispute tools, standard mail, and personal data corrections
Premier Plan: $59/month + $59 startup fee — adds support for collections, charge-offs, and faster mailing
Prestige Plan: $99/month + $99 startup fee — includes all features, with support for bankruptcies, public records, and certified mail
All plans include access to our dispute letter generator, customer portal, and mail handling. Visit the Plans page for a detailed breakdown.
There’s no limit to how many items you can choose to dispute using Credit Main. You have full control inside your portal and can flag as many inaccuracies, outdated entries, or unverifiable items as you find on your credit report.
For the best experience, we recommend focusing on your most important or clearly incorrect items first, as this helps you track progress and responses more effectively over time.
Many users begin seeing changes within 30–45 days after the first letters are mailed. However, full results often take 4 to 6 months, especially if multiple rounds of disputes are needed. Results depend on how quickly the credit bureaus process and respond to your disputes.
We don’t retrieve your report for you—you must upload it. This ensures your information is accurate and up-to-date. We recommend using Credit Hero Score, a partner tool that provides tri-bureau reports and works well with our platform. You can also use any provider of your choice.
We recommend using Credit Hero Score for all your credit monitoring needs. It provides access to all three major credit bureaus and shows both FICO® and VantageScore® models—the two most commonly used scoring systems by lenders.
Credit Hero Score integrates seamlessly with Credit Main and makes it easy to upload your reports, monitor changes, and track the impact of your dispute efforts over time.

Credit Main proudly serves customers in all 50 U.S. states. Our platform is built to work nationwide—wherever credit reports are used and regulated under federal law. Whether you’re in a major city or a rural town, you can access our tools and manage your credit from anywhere.
To use our platform effectively, you’ll need to provide:
A valid government-issued photo ID
Proof of your current address (e.g., utility bill)
A current credit report from all three bureaus
These help ensure that any disputes you generate are correctly linked to your profile and properly verified by the bureaus.
If, after 90 days of continuous use and three rounds of dispute letters, you’ve seen no credit score improvement or negative items removed, you may be eligible for a refund of your monthly fees (startup fee excluded). Contact our support team to begin a review.
Terms apply. See refund policy for full eligibility requirements.
We offer two optional upgrades to speed up the dispute delivery process:
First Class Mail Service – $49/month: Faster delivery (4–6 business days)
Certified Mail Service – $99/month: Tracking, signature confirmation, and priority delivery (3–4 business days)
You can add these during checkout.
Not necessarily. Every plan includes standard mailing. Upgrades are helpful for customers who want faster delivery or tracking but are completely optional. Your dispute letters will still be mailed regardless of upgrade selection.
The Credit Main Affiliate Program allows you to earn money by referring new users to our credit management platform. Once you’re approved as an affiliate, you’ll receive access to a private affiliate portal where you can enter and manage your referral submissions.
Each referral submission includes the name, email, and phone number of the person you’re referring. You’ll be notified when a referral activates their account and selects a plan. If that referred user remains an active, paying subscriber for at least two consecutive months, you’ll receive a $25 commission for the successful referral.
Commissions are processed and paid monthly, and you’ll be able to track your referral history, payout status, and earnings all within your affiliate dashboard. There’s no cap on how many people you can refer, and participation is completely free.
Please note: All referrals must be manually entered by the affiliate in the portal to be eligible. Referrals must not already be in our system or have an existing account. Affiliates are subject to approval and must adhere to the program’s terms and conditions.
